Brianne Howey and Matt Ziering are celebrating Mother’s Day with a big announcement!
The Ginny & Georgia star shared that she and her husband of nearly five years are expecting their second baby on Sunday, May 10.
“Here we grow again💛,” Howey wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of herself cradling her growing bump in the mirror while wearing a yellow strapless dress. “Happy Mother’s Day!”
In the comments, a few of Howey’s Ginny & Georgia costars congratulated her on the newest addition to her family.
“Wow congrats!!!!!” Chelsea Clark wrote, after which Antonia Gentry left a few emojis under the post: “🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹.”
“Baby two looks good on you 💛,” Ginny & Georgia showrunner Debra J. Fisher wrote.
Howey’s big news comes nearly a year after the actress, who also shares a 2-year-old daughter with Ziering, revealed how becoming a mom helped her better understand her character in the Netflix comedy-drama.
“Prior to having a child, of course, I thought many of the Georgia-isms were absolutely insane and unhinged and over the top, and why is she taking up so much space?” she told PEOPLE in June 2025. “Now that I have a child, I am so obsessed with her that I understand why Georgia is so obsessed with Ginny, and my heart only got bigger and I just have even more respect for all the moms out there.”
She also made the “risky” decision to use her real-life birth story in one of the scenes for her 2025 Netflix movie Kinda Pregnant.
“Amy [Schumer] called me the night before and said, ‘Why is nobody talking about their birth stories?’ So that’s what we did,” Howey remembered in a June interview with DC Film Girl. “Then the next day, we went to set and that’s my real birth story, actually.”
“So it was a really intimate, kind of in the moment felt a little bit risky, but very safe at the same time because it was just me and Amy,” she continued. “And I’m so grateful to her for wanting to take a swing and really go big with that scene.”
A fourth season of Ginny & Georgia is on the way, although Netflix has not announced a premiere date yet.
